Great Job everyone at our third and final Dual Meet of the summer!! We did really well and are super excited to prepare for city over these next two weeks. We are so sorry that our final relays got cancelled but you guys were great sports about it!

Sweatshirts

We will be going through Triumph Screen Printing for sweatshirts and they will cost $26 per sweatshirt. Please send your child with money this week so that we can order them as soon as possible. We are super excited to get these and show them off for the rest of the season!

City Meet sign ups

Congratulations everyone on making it through the first four weeks of summer swim league!!!!!
So starting this week we will be signing up for the end of summer city swim meet. We have to have these turned in by August 5th (before our next meet). If you will not be at the city meet please let us know due to relay formations. We will be unable to alter our entries after they have been submitted. If your swimmer wants to swim an event they have not swam this season and will not be swimming at the 3rd dual meet just tell us so we can do a time trial for the records.
Also, there is a chance for the swimmers to submit Wizard of Oz themed artwork for the cover of the heat sheets for city. We will be handing out information sheets and submission information this week at practice.
Let's keep up the good work at practice and do our best at the next meet against Grant and at City on the 23rd.

Sweatshirts and Meet

Hey Everyone!!!

So we will be signing up for the meet and ordering sweatshirts this week if you have not already. Please make sure you let one of us know (preferably Brittney) what you want to swim and what size sweatshirt you want.
This weekends meet will be at Columbia Pool in North Portland. Please be there at 7:30am again. Bring and extra towel, goggles, and a snack for between events.

Also, even though the weather has not been the greatest this week please come to practice so you can have a chance to sign up for events you wish to swim.

Team Breakfast!

One meet down, three more to go! Awesome job last weekend everyone, the meet was a blast and it was great to see all our swimmers out there having a great time. Tomorrow morning we will be holding a team breakfast at 8 o'clock to celebrate all of our hard work. There we will pass out ribbons and announce our swimmers of the meet! Bring food and a suit because we will be getting in the water at around 9. Can't wait to see all the swimmers and parents and hope you all had a great weekend! Keep up the hard work and see you all in the morning.

Swim Meet Reminder

Our first dual meet is right around the corner and we can't wait to show off all our hard work! Warm-ups begin at 8am Saturday morning, so we expect all our swimmers to be at the pool at around 7:30. A few things to remember:

--If you are not registered for summer swim league, you cannot compete in the meet.

--On top of bringing food and water, bring along an extra swim cap and pair of goggles.

--Events will begin at 9am, so make good use of our warm-up time!

--Events will be moving along quickly, so it is important that swimmers find their way to the bullpen on time. Coaches will be around to help make this go as smoothly as possibly, and don't be afraid to ask questions!

--And most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

July 9th-First Dual Meet

The first dual meet is this up coming weekend at Creston against Sellwood. This week we will be asking the swimmers what events they would like to swim. Each swimmer may register for 3 individual events, 1 medley relay, and 1 free relay. If you have any questions about the meet or event feel free to ask.
We will need volunteer parents to time and work the awards table.
Also remember sun screen this week and at the meet. We will be getting nicer weather soon and we want to avoid sunburns as much as possible. At the meet also remember to have your swimmer(s) eat a well balanced breakfast before and bring water and snacks for between events.

Hey so PAC (Portland Aquatic Club) is offering a stroke clinic to swimmer who are interested from Portland Parks and Recreation. If you guys are interested in ore information about this clinic ask one of us at practice.

Suit fittings and Team Photo days

Hey again,

Just some more information about upcoming dates. We will be having swim suit fittings on Wednesday June 22nd. Suits for girls will be $32 and boy $24. This is a good deal on these 100% polyester suits.

Also our Team Photo is scheduled for July 12th so everyone should try to be there!!!!

Swim Meets 2011

Hey Creston Swimmers and Parents,
Here is just some information about when and where our swim meets will be this summer.

July 9th: Creston Pool
July 23rd: Columbia Pool
August 6th: Grant Pool

All swimmers should show up by 7:30 am to start warm-ups with enough time to figure out events and check in with the coaches.

Our city meet information will be coming later on!
